From Porirua, Wellington

My Father is a Pākeha brought up in Tawa Wellington. My Mother is Samoan from Nono’a, Saleimoa

I work as a Central Region Educator for E tū union educating union delegates and members on their rights in the workplace and how to build workers power through collective action. In this role I support our Youth Network - union members under the age of 35 and the E tū Komiti Pasifika.

I am passionate about empowering BIPOC to take up space that they rightly deserve and taking a seat on the table to use their voice at work, in their community and their lives.

I am the Youth Convenor on the NZ Council of Trade Unions Komiti Pasefika Executive (the Committee for Pasifika workers in NZ)

Member of The Brown Caucus – a Rōpū of young Māori & Pasifika who are interested in amplifying a youth voice in decision making for Porirua City.

Part of Soā Lau Pule a team of passionate young Samoans currently working on submissions Against the 2020 Amendment Bills

Member of Piki Youth Rōpū – a group of young Rangatahi from all over Wellington engaging in korero about Mental Health and ensuring it is fit for for purpose for all young people (specifically for me BIPOC)

Creator of a podcast called Wave Makers - sharing stories of BIPOC community leaders, social justice warriors and activists. People who want to make positive social change in Aotearoa.

And most importantly – A mother to a beautiful 5 year old girl
